The topic today is simple, but always asked – the classic “so how’s the market?” We know being around family and friends this week you’ll definitely be asked this question, so let’s prep for it – we’re going to make you look like a boss at Thanksgiving dinner this year!
There are a few different ways you can go about this question, it doesn’t have to be a twenty minute breakdown. You could lean into market trends on a national and local level. You can discuss how the market shifts during an election year and how you’re seeing differences currently since the election is over. You can speak on price points, showings, and list and sold prices. It’s important to have national level talking points that you can breakdown on a local level, to show that you’re not only educated in your market, but all markets! You could also discuss interest rates and affordability – what’s happening now and how it has effected you. Talk about your team too, lenders you’re working with, new construction partners you’re working with! You could also lean into the opportunities that the current market offers – the opportunities are endless! It’s just important to frame the topics and break them down in ways that people not affiliated with real estate will understand, also remember to be relatable it’s easy to do that by having stories ready!
